Just outside Jerusalem, in the beautiful suburb of Maale Adumim, in the quiet Mitzpe Nevo neighborhood, you can find a gem of a community: Nachalat Yehuda.

Nachalat Yehuda...Yehuda's Legacy...

Nahalat Yehuda is a unique congregation in many ways. At more than 70 families strong, our membership consists of new immigrants, veteran immigrants, and generations-old Israelis. The community was founded in 1996 and has been growing ever since.

We are a community of do-ers, people who believe in helping others in our shul, our community, our city, and our country. We are proud of our most recent efforts - Operation Northern Points...and hope you will be able to help us further expand this important operation.

Our weekly services are based on the teachings and songs of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, and we are known throughout the neighborhood for the spirited and melodious tunes that can be heard emanating from our shul long after other congregations have gone home. Our members have shared sorrows and joys together, celebrating marriages, bar mitzvahs and births and mourning national and personal tragedies…all together as one large family.

Our focus, above all else, is on our children, children in Maaleh Adumim, and in the country as a whole. They are our joy and our commitment to the future and we gear our services and celebrations around them. Every week, young boys proudly read the Torah, sing psalms, dance and celebrate with us.
