Yehuda's Legacy
Nachalat
Yehuda is named for two of our finest young men, both named
Yehuda, friends in life, together in death. Both died too young,
but both left a legacy of caring for their community and love for
their families. Nachalat Yehuda is our way of remembering:
Yehuda Aryeh Brand, z"l who
departed from this world at age 18, was a well-respected youth
leader and considered it his obligation to help kids through their
issues with both Judaism and life in general. His gift was his love
and compassion for all Jews. His message today carries on not only
through his family, but also through the entire community.
Yehuda Ben Yosef, z”l
died at the age of 22. Just a week after being discharged from the
army, Yehuda and a friend were working as security guards,
protecting a critical communications antenna near Hebron. The army
he served so well, mistook Yehuda for a terrorist and opened fire
killing both boys.
